Dornoch Station short-staffed for a five-star hotel; breakfast average — Mara restaurant service was better. Marcliffe a bit far from Trump; rooms face parking (works?). Correct hotel, nothing more. Old Course Hotel perfect. Castle greens a real experience. Dornoch perfect but rated 4 as Trump remains ultimate golf experience (welcome, maintenance, restaurant) — we spent 8 hours there; on-site lodging might be worth offering even if Google reviews are mixed (Trump name).

L'hôtel Fairmont est exceptionnel — personnel, emplacement, confort au top. Toutefois pas vu de pancakes au petit-déjeuner. Kingsbarns est un parcours fabuleux, mais joué en 5h30, trop long due à la partie devant nous ; le starter aurait dû intervenir. Jouer l'Old Course était incroyable, par contre déçu du New Course (parcours étroit, pas fun). L'hôtel Malmaison est correct, le personnel est fort sympathique, mais pas de restauration après 21h30.

General comment on the trip:

Bed&Breaffast: The Sandman, Aberdeen 3 next time we will go for a smaller place Mallard Hotel, Gullane 5 excellent; well located great service The Waterfront Hotel 3 nice hotel, good location, parking difficult, extra charges for espreso/capuccino at breakfast

Golf: we played as well: Crail Balcomie 5 Kittocks 5

We got home last night and everything went very well: K Club very pleasant, practically no rain, only one very windy day on the first day at Portmarnock, and I think for links a caddie is highly advisable both to explain the holes and to find lost balls...

Excellent stay — Malmaison Aberdeen very good, good service, friendly staff, hearty breakfast. Golf welcome and service excellent everywhere.

Cruden Bay great day with sun; Royal Aberdeen excellent welcome and service. Trump perfect welcome, service/course excellent and sunshine too. Everyone wants to return.
