IRELAND TRIP 2026 WEDNESDAY 20 MAY: Departure Nantes 17:05, arrival Dublin 17:45, drive to Killarney (4 hours)... Traditional farmhouse with colourful garden—house in Killarney.

Whole property: accommodation – Meanus, Ireland, 8 guests, 4 bedrooms, 4 beds, 4 bathrooms. Rare find! Bookings for this property are frequent. Arrived at the house after midnight. The lady was charming. Supplies for the first breakfasts were perfect. The house is not very well located—too far from a pleasant town (Killarney). Killorglin is a bit limited and requires a drive. The living spaces (lounge, dining room) are not pleasant. Golfers had preferred the house at Elie, nicer and with walkable access for dinner...

Golf trip to Scotland (2026).
Very beautiful courses; unfortunately the weather was not on our side (rain and wind). But it is Ireland, so we coped. Regarding the B&B, very good welcome from the owner, total indifference from her husband! Comfortable room, despite proximity to a busy road so noisy—fortunately we were on the garden side. Breakfasts were varied and hearty with flexible times (so perfect). The bathroom was not practical: mixer shower tap, hard to adjust with hot/cold reversed—a thermostatic tap would have been preferable. The shower head is fixed to the wall, not very practical compared to a handheld shower on a hose.\u2028Only one towel rail for 2 people with 2 towels each.\u2028Only one small coat hook for hanging clothes. The basin taps are separate, so either cold or hot—you mix yourself. The toilet is not separate.
Hello everyone,
A wonderful trip, thanks in particular to the agency's state-of-the-art service. A few transport issues that the agency compensated for very effectively, with remarkable help and support.
Ratings: Carnoustie Championship: 5.
Ratings: Carnoustie golf hotel: 2. Very well located but now very dated and in need of a major refresh.
Ratings: Fairmont: 4. Perfect but a bit of a "factory" because of heavy traffic.
Ratings: Jubilee course: 4. It is iconic — St Andrews, same quality as the Old Course without being it.
Ratings: Kings course Gleneagles: 4.
Ratings: Kingsbarns: 4.
We rated several courses 4 to distinguish them from 5, but they are very close to the same level.
Ratings: Merlindale B&B: 3. Good service but a little rustic and the hosts quite strict — I am thinking of breakfast times — it is their way and no other.
Thank you to the whole team. This is already our third trip and we will be back.
A few photos follow. Pascal Derrey
