Hello
I could not answer your questionnaire on my iPad.
I will try on Monday on my computer, otherwise I will print it and scan it for you.
I am sending you a photo.
Small downsides: The breakfast restaurant at the Me and Mrs Jones hotel does not open before 8 a.m. Fortunately we were playing Castlerock at 9:36 on Sunday but it was tight, as it took 25 minutes to get there.
Also, the 4:30 p.m. tee time at Royal County Down was a bit late although it was still daylight when we finished at 9:15 p.m. because groups ahead were slow. This course is certainly in demand but it is still surprising that booking 15 months ahead you could not get a better time. We asked the caddies for a nearby restaurant address—we were the last customers and closed the place...
Finally, on the last day at Malone there was no caddie (we had only planned one) and we had an 8 a.m. tee time but their office only opened at 8...
So the start was a bit rushed and we could not use the practice area (fortunately it was the last day and we had been playing for four days).
Apart from these few remarks, we are all very happy with our stay and your organisation and we were lucky with the weather again as there were only a few drops on the first day, with perfect temperatures and not too much wind.
Finally in Belfast they must have upgraded us since the two suites each had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two toilets....
Kind regards
Yann LAURU

Hello to the whole team, hello Mr Métayer,
I could not complete your Word form because the answers do not save.
We enjoyed our trip to Scotland overall, but some points need improvement.
Here are our comments:
1/ Accommodation was not all equivalent; our views differ.
- The Dean: 4/5 Pleasant place, pretty with a nice garden, but you cannot dine on site — you must go out. The owner was unhappy when we brought salads to eat on the terrace. We were tired in the evenings and did not always want to go out after golf or sightseeing. Breakfast was generous and excellent.
- Pinewood Country House: 5/5 Beautiful house, charming hosts — we loved it!
- Daviot Lodge: 5/5 Lovely place too, friendly hosts.
- Tullie Inn: 1/5 Because you were wrong about the return day and the last golf was too far from the chosen B&B, you replaced the initial accommodation (which looked fantastic) with a poor motel. I had said I dislike noisy places with many rooms and people. Our room faced the railway; the hotel is shabby in corridors/common areas and we did not like it at all. Avoid! A shame as it was our last stay and left a bad impression.
2/ Golf — mixed views. Some courses lack welcoming clubhouses/restaurants and lunch after the round is not always possible (except Fri–Sun).
Glen Golf Club: 5/5 Beautiful course with lovely views.
Torrance Course: 4/5 Two 18-hole courses; we were sent to the less scenic one without sea views. Kittocks is apparently the reference and we did not get to play it — disappointed.
Craigtoun Course: 4/5 Nice golf.
Spey Valley: 5/5 Absolutely magnificent — fantastic views, pink flowers everywhere. Not to be missed. We loved it!
Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club: 3/5 We did not like this course; not in great condition.
The Carrick on Loch Lomond: 4/5 Interesting course.
Disappointed not to play the Old Course as we were not drawn in the ballot.
3/ Sightseeing:
We would have liked a small road book before departure with must-see sights, advance bookings, and suggestions. We could not visit Edinburgh Castle, for example — sold out all week.
We took many photos of courses and cities: Edinburgh, Inverness, St Andrews, and Glasgow.
What kind of photos would you like? Selfies of the two of us? Course photos? Other?
Have a good end of the day!
Kind regards, Agnès WEIL and Alain YOUNES
Despite fairly mild weather, we greatly enjoyed the trip and have already recommended it to friends.
I would like to mention a few small things:
Isaacs Hotel in Cork. The hotel was excellent.
Eccles Hotel. The room view over a garage roof was modest. We would have liked to pay a little more for a sea view.
Smugglers Inn is very simple but beautifully located. The food is excellent too. A very good destination, recommended.
Ashe Hotel: Very friendly staff. That stands out. Also highly recommended.
Vaughans Lodge. Great too. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Sunday.
Hillside Lodge B and B: A simple, interesting house. Friendly people.
Skylon Hotel. Unfortunately a little far from the centre, but at least easy to reach by public transport.
We also appreciated that you sent us restaurant recommendations without any problem. Thank you!!!
Esther Marbet

Your comments:

Thank you for your email. We had an excellent stay. Friday evening was lively at the pub and Port Askaig Hotel. Saturday very warm welcome at the Carrick — top course and very interesting to play. We teed off at 3:30 pm and finished just before dark, then dined at the clubhouse. Mar Hall — magnificent. Shame we could only stay one night! Thank you to the whole team. Kind regards, Didier Combarieu
Hello everyone,
In addition to the evaluation form, please find my comments:
- Week 1 - SIXT hire: planned vehicles unavailable; replacements too small so we had to upgrade (£500–700) — unpleasant first impression. Hotel: well located, comfortable, practical (staff moderately friendly), food OK. Golf: Dundonald (3) — unlucky with heavy rain, not very understanding; had to go through you so three players could finish the last 9 — thank you for intervening. Gailes/Glasgow (4): beautiful course, very friendly welcome, accessible restaurant. Western Gailes (4): friendly welcome, no caddie required for buggies, superb course, pleasant restaurant. Prestwick (5): classy traditional welcome, still quirky and enjoyable, OK restaurant. Royal Troon Old (5**): top-class welcome, magnificent historic course, difficult but playable, caddie with buggy, very good restaurant. Turnberry Ailsa (5): friendly welcome, beautiful difficult course; two downsides — mandatory caddie per round (3 of us paid £175) and overpriced food (£14 Caesar salad without chicken)… otherwise magnificent "bling" setting, a bit overrated.
- Week 2 Ferry transfers: no problem; forgotten Lochranza–Claonaig transfer fixed quickly — thanks again.
Hotels: Kinloch — cosy family hotel, friendly welcome, very good food, lovely experience. Ugadale — comfortable room, typical pleasant hotel, well placed, OK pub food next door; distant unwelcoming reception. The Machrie Hotel — beautiful remote hotel, attentive welcome, impeccable food. Stonefield Castle — magnificent last night; shame we arrived 11 pm and left 6 am.
Golf: Shiskine — superb 12-hole course, friendly welcome (played 3 times). Machrihanish Dunes — magnificent scenic course, local welcome in unusual pro shop/restaurant/starter, excellent maintenance (my favourite). Machrihanish — beautiful scenic well-maintained golf. Machrie — magnificent scenic well-maintained (my second favourite); no electric trolley — below golf/luxury hotel standards.
Happy to provide more feedback.
Many thanks for superb precise professional organisation that delighted us all.
Kind regards Jean-Pierre Brochiero
