Hello,

I give you an account of our golf stay in Northern Ireland and our impressions.

• First three days in Newcastle: B&B very well located by the

sea and very close to pubs, restaurants... Really nice town.

• First round at Royal County Down, a gem!!! Too bad

rain joined the round. But it was our only rainy day of the week—we cannot complain especially as we walked the course the day before and saw all the magnificent views.

• Ardglass the second day, wind so strong the

ball struggled to stay on the green and a stable stance was complicated. This course offers exceptional views and with the wind interesting golf shots.

• Next three days in Portstewart: very nice B&B with a very

good welcome. A lively friendly town like Newcastle for evenings out.

• Portstewart golf club, less sea view but a

dune landscape truly magnificent and impeccable maintenance.

• Portrush golf club, a championship course with

tricky greens depending on pin positions, incredible views again and some challenges.

• Castlerock, a very beautiful course—too bad the first nine

holes are less interesting than the back nine which offers beautiful views. But hard to follow the first four courses we played—courses from another planet.

It is a superb golf trip to recommend to all golf lovers.

Nous étions à St Andrews en juillet juste après The Open. Séjour impaccablement organisé par Golf Travellers. Le B&B (Andrean Links - The Arran) était superbement situé à 2 pas du 18 du Old. Moderne et confortable, les lieux venaient d'être rénovés. (en revanche prévoyez des boules quiès pour les mouettes :-)) Nous avons été ravis de notre week end prolongé, même si enchaîner 36 trous par jour commence à faire beaucouop pour un groupe de quadras même sportifs ! Un conseil : faites 36 sur une de vos journées et gardez vous les merveilles Kingsbarns et Dumbarnie Links sur des journées où vous ne faites que ces parcours. Vous en profiterez d'autant plus et cela vous laissera le temps de flâner dans cette atmosphère magique de la ville de St Andrews. Nous avons moins aimé The Duke's qui est un parcours très exigeant et (très) long que nous avons joué en 2e 18T. A part ça rien à dire : St Andrews c'est La Mecque du golf et avec Golf Travellers, tout est organisé pour que vous profitiez à fond de votre séjour avec notamment un chauffeur qui vous balade de golf en golf.

Tout était bien. Nous avions une belle chambre face au fairway du 17ème trou (n°264) Bien sûr, nous étions très heureux d'avoir eu de la chance au scrutin et d'avoir pu jouer jeudi. C'était certainement de la chance, mais nous avons toujours pensé que nous serions chanceux lors du scrutin. Kingsbarns était une folie absolue. Nous tenons à vous remercier pour la planification et l'exécution de notre voyage et nous vous recontacterons.

And so our trip to Ireland is already over and we all agree it was magnificent and very well organised.

Superb courses, in sun or real Irish rain, but only on 9 holes, which remains more than acceptable.

Merci bcp. Les parcours links Crail et Lundin ont été parfaitement choisis selon mes attentes. Le Duke's est un bon parcours aussi mais un peu moins typique. L'hotel était parfait et pas trop loin de St A; pour le rayonnement et le British. Super séjour comme je l'ai dit à Raphael.
