Perfectly organised trip; everything booked as agreed. Comments — Dunbar: magnificent course, excellent welcome. Kilspindie: more rustic, a bit monotonous — play first to avoid comparison. North Berwick: magnificent but only 6 holes as my wife fell and broke her humerus — drove to Edinburgh A&E, afternoon in hospital. Golf staff very kind; no commercial gesture to let me finish early/late next day. Nether Abbey Hotel: very clean, kind, good breakfast; downsides: street-facing room with traffic, second floor no lift, average restaurant.

Overall happy with the trip; some hotels below their level; mythical courses impressive; ancillary services very good quality. Food especially breakfasts generally weak for hotel level — only Gleneagles stood out.

In addition, Portugal won the Nations Cup in football and we watched the match in a pub in Dublin—simply FABULOUS!!! "Old Course at St Andrews is legendary, but the 5 courses where we played in Ireland please us more: The K Club, Druids Glen, Killeen Castle, Portmarnock Golf Links and The Island Golf Club ...

Generally very well organized, very nice B&B in Inverness and Spean Bridge. Apparently our early tee time on Kittocks had not been confirmed. Cottage @St. Andrews had somewhat worn down interior
