Golf trip to Ireland (2022).

Raphaël hello, We did not meet in St Andrews as planned — texted Wednesday evening. Late return from golf and traffic near Old Course due to Women's British Open. Shame. Next time. Evaluation form with notes: - Edinburgh airport Enterprise overwhelmed; car not ready, one hour wait. Citroën DS5 automatic OK. - Craigard House Hotel junior suite very good but sad to see the property neglected — owners trying to sell ~10 years. - Rufflets St Andrews well located five minutes from town; superior room average but manager kindly upgraded three of five nights to one of the best rooms for £20/night extra — a gift. - St Andrews restaurant list very useful. - Machrihanish Dunes disappointing greens. - Machrihanish Golf Club tip top as before. - Dumbarnie Links tip top as last year. - Elie always pleasant. - Lundin Golf Club hard to judge — too much wind. - Crail Craighead when Balcomie full — perhaps suggest another course. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec 4 golfs complètement différents et vraiment magnifiques ! Muirfield représente l'histoire du golf et de ses traditions. L'accueil est irréprochable et le parcours mythique. Kilspindie est le links écossais traditionnel où il fait bon de jouer au contact des Écossais. Panorama sur la mer, vent, et clubhouse de 200 ans, tout y est. Archerfield est un parcours plus travaillé avec des forêts de pins, typé pour la compétition. Et enfin Dumbarnie est un parcours récent, mélange de prouesse architecturale et de nature sauvage — un plaisir pour les yeux et pour le golf, entretien exceptionnel ! En dehors du golf, l'Apex City Grassmarket est parfait pour son emplacement et son parking. On s'est régalé ! Merci à Golf Travellers !

Thank you, everything was well organised. The courses were all very good to excellent and we were lucky with the weather. Car hire very good and professional and we got a very practical car (VW Tiguan). We will travel to Ireland again but staying in one place. Drive to courses up to 1.5 h was fine for us—sightseeing Ireland and a superb course (Connemara) in return
